Again for digestion I recommend the warming spices such as cardamom, ginger, cinnamon and fennel. I could not tell you my preferred flavour as they are all equally as good as each other. I have at least 4 herbal teas a day to maintain hydration levels, keep my skin clear, alkaline the body and not to mention soothe the soul, which a cup of tea does perfectly.

Lastly and certainly not least… Daily Meditation

However you wish to do it; guided, with a candle, repeating an affirmation or word or silent; meditation must be incorporated into your natural beauty routine. The benefits are endless. Find a style of meditation that suits you and commit to this for 30 days. You will notice how much more peaceful, de-stressed and focused you are. I do 20 minutes silent meditation of a morning and listen to a guided paraliminal of an evening.

Now I’m no angel by any means. I’m still human and I miss the occasional Garlic or Apple Cider Vinegar hit. I also enjoy a glass of French Champagne very occasionally. I’m also no nazi when dining out and never deny myself of a beautifully made meal.

It’s the old 80/20 rule, I aim for 90/10 only because I feel so much better when I value and take care of my mind and body. I haven’t been sick in years; no colds, flu and not even a sore throat. Nada!

Most importantly show yourself kindness, if you revert back to old eating habits and get lazy with the smoothies, slowly direct yourself back on track. After a while you will see and feel the benefits and you won’t need any further motivation to continue to incorporate these bursts of natural health into your daily routine.
